Administrative duties have been progressing and with the assistance of APIX ( Senegal's Investment Agency) we are set up for the arrival of the equipment that is due in mid May.
We have hired our first employee Katy Lo from Dakar and will be our Project Administrator, coordinating all the administrative duties both in Dakar with the agencies and in Nguekokh with the site. She speaks a number of languages and has been a huge help in keeping the project on track.
At the Town of Ngeukokh, the people are also getting excited as we prepare to begin construction in May. Site Preparations are underway and layout and configuration for the foundation and office is almost done. (See Pictures Below). The benefits of having the town as a partner cannot be overstated!
May will see a number of important milestones as we stay on schedule
Arrival of Weight Scales - Allows the commencement of the Fuel Stockpile
Arrival of Solar Equipment - Allows the initial supply of Power to the site and the first of the Social Assistance Projects as we will provide power for the Hospital in Nguekokh.
Foundation for Plant - We have recevied good response from our request for qualified companies to price and prepare quoatation for the work.
Installation of Wind Monitor - Collection of Data for Wind Power
Fencing of Site
Installation of Office at site( see rendering)
